NYAHSA Employee of Distinction Award Recipient
Renee Swartz, Director of Nursing for the
Wells Nursing Home, was awarded the Employee of Distinction Award; presented by New York Association of Homes & Services
for the Aging. The nomination winners included two people from the Capital, Central, Hudson Valley, Northern,
Southern Tier, Rochester and Western regions; in addition to two from New York City and two from Long Island.
There were a total of 18 award winners in New York State. Representatives from the Legislature,
state regulatory agencies, advocacy agencies and other organizations served on the Employee of Distinction Awards Committee
to review the nominations. The New York State Legislature also recognizes the extraordinary dedication
of the award winners with a presentation of a legislative resolution while NYAHSA presented her with a certificate and $100.00.
